New moon in Aquarius & Borage Flower Essence
The 11th house, also known as the house of friendships, hopes, and wishes, also signifies our social networks, associations, and our capacity for fulfilling our dreams. It represents the role of community, collaboration, and the support we receive from others. The energy of Aquarius is humanitarian, and within us, it seeks knowledge and inspiration to elevate the world. Aquarius is ruled by the Star card in the tarot and is represented by 17. The self-consciousness of the magician and the driving force of the chariot together evoke the number 8, which represents strength. The star is our new self being born. We are naked to the world in our authenticity. The innocence of hope, new beginnings, and the light at the end of the tunnel. The Star reminds us that in order to create balance and shine in the material world, we must look within ourselves through meditation and self-care. The star embodies the element of air, and its challenges are of the mind and our own limitations.
The Flower Attunement Oracle Session
Because we are consuming so much information and environmental stress, the botanical oracle system helps tap into the peripheral nervous system and provides a remedy for releasing emotional stagnation by blending a customized Flower Essence elixir based on what has been revealed through the subconscious level. With the synergetic qualities of each essence, they provide mental and emotional healing and give us spiritual support for our well-being, connecting to nature and instilling mindfulness.
How to use the Perusal of the Four Seasons Zine for ritual
Each season offers a theme that corraponse with the dominant elemental nature. Within each season, we are faced with spiritual, emotional, and physiological challenges. In this Zine series, I created a simple step-by-step calendar wheel using an internal compass and the four elemental directions. Medical astrology, numerology, and tarot all infused together as an introduction for further exploration. *note for accurate moon phases, you will need a current yearly calendar.
The Four Seasons Blends & Tarot
The tarot can be related to the four seasons in a few different ways. One way to interpret the connection is through the suits of the tarot deck. The four suits, which are typically represented by wands, cups, swords, and pentacles, can be associated with the seasons. Wands can symbolize spring, representing growth, creativity, and new beginnings. Cups can relate to summer, representing emotions, relationships, and abundance. Swords can be connected to autumn, representing intellect, challenges, and transformation. And pentacles can be linked to winter, representing stability, material wealth, and grounding.
How to work with The Flower Attunement Tarot
Cartomancy is the art of using a deck of playing cards to answer insightful questions and practice divination. This method can be found in many cultures dating back several hundred years before the 1700s when it became popular in Europe. The origins of playing card symbology have several theories in this system; the four suits represent the four elements in nature. Highest to lowest from the color-coded method: Spades (black) being the highest representing the Air element, Hearts (red) being the Water Element, in the middle Clubs (black) being Fire, and the lowest Diamonds (red) being Earth. This can be interpreted as the seasons and the four cardinal directions of our internal compass rose. These opposing forces represent life's challenges and how nature consistently achieves balance in the changing seasons' polarities.
Love Potion No. 6 for 2022
Lunar New Year 2022 moves us into the archetype of the Lovers and the mirror of 6. Six offers beauty, love, intuition, and the awareness of our hearts. In the Flower Attunement Tarot, The Lovers and Six of Spades offer plant allies to help us find balance in our mind and emotions, Air and Water. The sacred number highlights the mind and body as above, so below, The Lovers relate to Air and The polarity. The Devil represents Earth and our attachments to everything that makes us feel good or bad.
